We Are Gallium Studios
An indie game studio composed of world-class game designers, developers, and artists, founded by legendary video game designers Will Wright and Lauren Elliott.

The Team
Legendary video game designer Will Wright (The Sims, SimCity, Spore) and Lauren Elliott (Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego) have formed indie development studio Gallium Studios in Berkeley, California. Gallium Studios’ team is a talented group of world-class game designers, seasoned developers and artists.

Arielle Karpowicz
Arielle is a producer on the Proxi team, originally from France but currently living in Brooklyn NY. You can often find her wandering around in virtual worlds where she spends most of her time customizing avatars and environments. She is particularly good (and competitive) at fighting games like Tekken, Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter so if you challenge her, you have been warned. She also has a penchant for fantasy and horror content and is a collector of manga, art books and candles.

Aron Vietti
Aron is a Sr. Software Engineer with 9 years experience in the Video Game Industry. He brings a passion for R&D and diverse skillset to the team, coming most recently from WB Games and Blizzard Entertainment. When not building or playing games you can find him most often playing music or reading.

Zachary Krizo
Zach is an experienced Sr. Software Engineer specializing in gameplay engineering and tools development. He has 7 years of experience in the industry, most recently coming from WB Games San Francisco where he worked on Harry Potter: Wizards Unite and DC Legends. In his free time, he spends his time caring for his two cats and trying in vain to catch up on gaming or anime.
Georgia Guzman
Georgia brings over 15 years of experience developing award-winning innovative and immersive simulation, educational and creative games on both sides of the fence as a production artist, and a studio lead. Coffee aficionado and ramen enthusiast.

Alex Dudley
Alex is an artist with experience in educational/simulation games and indie development. Outside of making art, he can most often be found playing every game he can get his hands on, hiking trails, or dabbling with music.

Akira
Across the titles they’ve worked on professionally and their personal library of games, Akira has always wielded a QA-spirited penchant for digital destruction. When they aren’t playing and breaking games, their time is mostly occupied by their passion for pixel art, anime, vtubers, and looking after their Shiba Inu.

Maëlle Kerdraon
Maëlle is a French engineer, living in beautiful British Columbia (in Canada). She works on the backend and to make sure everything runs smoothly. In her spare time, she writes fantasy novels and text adventures and creates (board-) games. She loves tea, cats, and dragons.

Matt Jones
Matt has an extensive fifteen-year background as a storyboard artist in the animation industry, including work on hit feature films such as Inside Out, Finding Dory, and Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse 2. Matt also brings a wealth of experience as a director of numerous short-form TV spots, and also as a design consultant - having been featured in TIME magazine for his work in re-designing the emoticon for Facebook.

Mara Campbell
Mara is an engineer currently living in the Unity client, working on gameplay code and wrangling UI. She has years of experience working on games as a student, an indie, and now an integral member of the Gallium team. Outside of developing games as a professional, she juggles a thousand hobbies and likes to explore the Bay Area.

Steve Mesker
Steve is an artist with experience in VR and simulation games on both the artistic and technical sides. When he's not nudging vertices he spends his time backpacking, woodworking, fussing over home reno projects, or learning some random and seemingly useless skill (juggling will come in handy one day I swear).

Sarah Lim
Sarah is a Bay Area native and games industry veteran with more than 17 years of experience - the bulk of which was spent at EA Games in support of The Sims franchise. She’s passionate about sandbox and simulation games and describes herself as both a Coffee Addict and Cat Enthusiast.

Ryan Trimble
Ryan has experience with indie game development, AR/VR, and VFX. When he isn't busy bending light and physics to his will in the form of shaders, he can be found tinkering on one of way too many side projects, trying to play that game he swears he'll finish one day, learning about completely random topics, or cooking.

Millie Harris
Millie is a multi-faceted tech-artist with a special affinity for rigging and VFX. Aside from her passion for game development, she is also a lover of small fluffy dogs and first-person competitive gaming.

Torley
Torley lives for all things audio to elevate mood and enhance immersion, from procedurally-generated music to time-traveling ambiences. Over two decades of collaboration with many of the world’s top sound designers and multiple roles in online communities (Second Life, Sansar) have led him to combine these ikigai at Gallium. His passions include AI-generated art, beautiful words, and cats.

Bob is the founder and owner of the beloved Relapse Theatre where he has spent the last 18 years housing and performing thousands of comedy shows, and getting to work with the greatest comedic minds of our generation.

Seth Kingry
Seth is a seasoned DevOps Engineer with 18 years of experience. He currently lives in Atlanta with his wife, two children, and four dogs. When he isn't busy writing automation and infrastructure code, he can be found either fishing from his boat, with his nose in a book, listening to punk rock with his kids, or hacking IoT devices.

Geoff Mitchell
Geoff is a Senior Systems Designer with 13+ years of experience creating simulated life through gameplay at EA’s Maxis studios on The Sims franchise. When not happily cognitive-load switching from high-level concepts to low-level implementation, he adventures around his Bay Area habitat seeking other systems to understand through experiential re-forging: guitar-playing, cooking, running, plumbing & dading.

Ian is a client side engineer with over 8 years of experience in the industry. He spent over 6 years working for Japanese game companies and worked on many mobile games in the top 100 charts. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his family, adventuring outdoors, and exercising.

Nat Iwata
Nat has worked with art teams around the globe for 15+ years. Working on small celebrated indie titles to well known IPs, like The Walking Dead, has given him a unique approach to art direction, getting hands-on, and collaborating with others.
